The title says it all: we love our stores! We hope to bring you insights on our favorite stores every month that not only sell beautiful items we love, but also carry Petit Collage’s line of goods.
Our first feature is San Francisco’s Rare Device, a boutique and art gallery dedicated to the best in independent and innovative design from around the world. My dear friends, Rena Tom and Lisa Congdon, originally owned Rare Device back when it was on Market St. Last year they sold the shop to the lovely and dedicated Giselle Gyalzen and Rare Device now resides at 600 Divisadero St. right next to one of our favorite restaurants, Nopa.
Why do we love Rare Device? It’s the type of store where you will truly find unusual, well designed gifts for everyone on your list from grandparents to newborn nephew. They have a lot of unique housewares, stationery, skin care, and of course, a lovely baby and kids’ corner that Petit Collage is so proud to be a part of!
If you ever end up in San Francisco, this is definitely a shop to add to your must-sees. Here are some of my favorites from their selection.
1. Walking wooden toy by Canvas Home
2. Diana Fayt Salt and Pepper Cellars
3. Royal Hawaiian Triangles Tea Towel
4. Croc Pile
5. Playable Art-Wooden Balls by Beyond123
6. Four Plates, Four Seasons by Rob Ryan
