At Petit Collage, we have a guiding set of principles which are applied to every decision we make because we value the planet as a whole and believe that everything is interconnected.
Our goal is to leave a better world for our children, so we set an example for them in all of our choices and deeds. We believe in transparency and honesty in all that we do. We believe that education empowers our customers.
We only create products which adhere to our strict sustainability criteria, and we apply those criteria to every product—and to the entire product—all of the time. We do this because we believe that play can and should encourage sustainable thinking.
We recognize that sustainability is an ever-moving target and each day we focus on further improving our processes.
OUR SUSTAINABILITY CRITERIA:
At least 80% of our paper products are made from recycled or recyclable substrates. We choose renewable materials such as bamboo for our mobiles, and we prioritize the use of responsibly-sourced materials, such as with FSC-certified wood for our toys and many of our paper products, and certified organic cotton for our soft baby toys. Our products are printed with vegetable based inks and waterbased paints, and soft toys are dyed with eco-friendly dyes.
We design our products to be long lasting and to grow with your child. Play value is an important part of our product development process. When assembled, our craft kits double as pretend play. Our wooden puzzles double as play-sets, and our 64-piece puzzles come packaged in a tin which is repurposed as a coin bank.
Non Toxic & Safe:
All our products are free of BPA, phthalates, lead, and formaldehyde.
We care on how and where our products are made therefore we visit our factories and conduct audits and quality control regularly. Our vendors are certified ICTI: Code of Business Practices, as well as ISO9001 Quality Management Systems, and ISO14001 Environmental Management Systems. Our main factory is certified as a "Caring Company" in recognition of its approach to corporate social responsibility.
Our products are subject to the most rigorous product safety testing, including all American and European standards: ASTM, CPSIA, EN71, and REACH.
Our products and packaging are designed to optimize space, thereby decreasing the energy required for transport. Packaging is minimized to avoid unnecessary waste and uses recycled content whenever available.
