What's in This Collection

Every soft toy here is made for the youngest users in mind - babies from birth through around 18 months. The formats are designed to be gripped, squeezed, shaken, chewed, cuddled, and dragged everywhere:

  • Squeakers: Small soft figures that make a gentle squeak when squeezed. Light enough for a newborn to hold and sized for a tiny fist.
  • Chime balls: Soft fabric balls with an internal chime that rings when rolled or shaken. Great for tummy time and early reaching practice.
  • Activity toys: Multi-textured soft toys with crinkle patches, teething corners, ribbons, and mirrors. Multiple sensory experiences in one item.
  • Blankies and loveys: Soft comfort toys with a small plush head attached to a blanket square. The go-to format for sleep-time attachment.
  • Teethers: Organic cotton shapes designed specifically for chewing, with textured surfaces that soothe gums.

Materials That Matter at This Age

Everything in this collection uses GOTS-certified organic cotton for the outer fabric and recycled polyester fill (made from water bottles) inside. The dyes are non-toxic, the stitching is reinforced, and every item is tested to meet CPSIA, ASTM, and CE safety standards.

At this age, your baby will put everything in their mouth - that's not a problem to solve, it's the whole point. These toys are designed to be mouthed safely and repeatedly.

Choosing Between Formats

If you're buying for a newborn (0-3 months), squeakers and chime balls are the best starting formats. They're light, they provide sensory feedback with minimal effort, and they're small enough for a baby who's still learning to grip.

From 3-6 months, activity toys become more interesting because your baby can now explore different textures and features intentionally. Teethers become useful as early gum discomfort starts.

Blankies and loveys can be introduced from birth but typically become attachment objects around 6-12 months. If you're shopping for a gift, a blankie is one of the items parents appreciate most because it often becomes the one thing their baby won't go to sleep without.

Our Books collection has felt books and board books that complement soft toys for this age - tactile pages your baby can explore alongside their soft toys.

Soft Toys as Gifts

Soft toys are the most popular baby gift format in our range for good reason - they're safe from birth, they're useful immediately, and they look beautiful. A squeaker or chime ball is a perfect small gift. An activity toy or blankie is a more substantial option.

Gift sets that pair a soft toy with a board book and a teether cover multiple needs in one package. You'll find those in our Baby & Toddler collection.

For more gift options at a range of price points, our Pocket-Friendly Fun collection includes soft toys alongside other budget-friendly baby items.
